Waiting on Wednesday: Say You'll Remember Me

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, what's really got my pages in a twist is...

Say You’ll Remember Me
Publication Date: January 30, 2018
Hardcover, 400 pages, Harlequin Teen
Genres: YA, Contemporary, Romance

When Drix was convicted of a crime--one he didn't commit--he thought his life was over. But opportunity came with the new Second Chance Program, the governor's newest pet project to get delinquents off the streets, rehabilitated and back into society. Drix knows this is his chance to get his life back on track, even if it means being paraded in front of reporters for a while.

Elle knows she lives a life of privilege. As the governor's daughter, she can open doors with her name alone. But the expectations and pressure to be someone she isn't may be too much to handle. She wants to follow her own path, whatever that means.

When Drix and Elle meet, their connection is immediate, but so are their problems. Drix is not the type of boy Elle's parents have in mind for her, and Elle is not the kind of girl who can understand Drix's messy life.

But sometimes love can breach all barriers.

Fighting against a society that can't imagine them together, Drix and Elle must push themselves--Drix to confront the truth of the robbery, and Elle to assert her independence--and each other to finally get what they deserve.

My Thoughts

I don’t know how to feel about this new book of Katie McGarry’s. On the one hand, I typically really enjoy her YA contemporary romances. On the other hand, it’s not about motorcycles; it’s about issues that I get very heated about. I’ll just have to trust McGarry to keep up her winning streak.

What book are you waiting for this Wednesday?

  1. I want to read this book too! It's on NetGalley but Harlequin still hasn't approved/declined my request. :/ I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!

Have a fabulous week, Shell. =)

    Check out my WoW post!

    1. Oooo... I forgot that Katie McGarry's books are usually on NetGalley. Hmm... ;)

  2. I do like the sound of this one. I have only read on McGarry book but really enjoyed it. I need to read more of her work soon.

    1. Her books are usually solid 4-star reads for me. Cute, contemporary fun with an edge. :)

I LOVE your comments! And I do read all of them so keep at it! Thanks for visiting!
